The prime objective of all member accounts of the Lynn Teachers’ Credit Union shall be to actively promote systematic thrift for the improvement and social conditions of our members. Sufficient types of deposit services shall be established to equitably meet the needs of our broad membership. In response to our members needs and wants, we will attempt to provide transactions and other services which are associated with our mission . We strive to pay competitive or higher rates to members for their deposits. Declarations of dividends are made with consideration given first to the retention of earnings as a sound business practice. Our loan services are to help members with their credit needs; to help them improve their financial position and to develop sound habits and attitudes about using credit. Our financial management policies assure an availability of loans to the broad membership. Our lending policies give preference to smaller, shorter term consumer loans. We strive to keep loan rates competitive; i.e. equal to or below competition. To assure our financial survival, fixed rates loans are substantially funded by fixed rate sources of similar term. The Lynn Teachers’ Credit Union has been in existence since 1935. We have consistently been available for the needs of our members and will continue to do so. We offer the convenience of payroll deduction for both savings and loans. We offer prompt, courteous service to all of our members and prospective members. We urge all Lynn School Department employees to join the Lynn Teachers’ Credit Union by filling out a membership card and placing a twenty-five ($25.00) dollar deposit in a savings account at the Credit Union office; 33 North Common Street, Lynn, MA 01902-4311.
